Swanky Swan (Rob Catlender, based on Camille Saint-Saëns' le Cygne)

One of the most well known compositions of the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns is his 'Le Carnaval des animaux' (Carnival of the Animals). In this piece he characterises several animals in a magnificent way. One of them is the elegant swan.

In this arrangement we have to do with the grown up swanky-big-band-swan. An electric piano sets the rhythm and starting with tenorsaxophone, trombone and muted trumpets the theme slowly unfolds. In the middle we hear a sax-special that leads to the swinging tutti end-theme.

In the audio below we hear the digital big band that will give a nice impression of the arrangement.
